Foundations for Professional Practice 2 CNA153

Introduction

This unit is designed to prepare students for entry into practice. Students will extend their understandings of ethico-legal reasoning, accountable practice and duty of care. Research and evidence based practice will be introduced as a foundation for person centred care and continuing professional and academic development. The capacity to self-care and care for others will be explored through critical thinking and reflection. Students will develop their Professional Portfolio during this unit.

Online Quiz (8%), Tutorial Group Work - Case Studies - short answer questions x 4 - 1000 words (12%),  Written Enquiry and Reflection 1500 words (40%), Reflective Essay 1500 words (40%)
