Nursing Practice 2 CNA250

Professional Experience Placement (PEP): Students will be allocated PEP within individual health care agencies. Students must be available 5 days a week (mornings, evenings, weekends, nightshifts, as per roster), may be expected to relocate and are expected to travel to where PEP is available. To be eligible to undertake PEP, all students must meet the requirements of the Health Science Safety in Practice kit by completing and submitting all Safety in Practice Agreement compliance documentation to the School. Students who cannot or do not comply with these requirements will not be allocated PEP and therefore will not be able to complete this unit. PEP dates MAY differ from University of Tasmania calendar semester dates.

This unit builds on the learning in Nursing Practice 1 and incorporates simulation based learning and 160 hours of Professional Experience Placement. The unit is presented in four modules which support the in-practice experience. The Practice Standards for the Registered Nurse provide the guiding framework for student practice experience and assessment of students' progress.

Students will further develop their Professional Portfolio in this unit.
