This unit is taken in association with the final 240 hour PEP unit in the Bachelor of Nursing. For students with altered pathways, permission for a negotiated enrolment with an alternative 240 hour PEP unit may be sought from the School of Nursing.

Introduction

This unit provides the opportunity for students to enhance their professional practice. Students will select one of the following three streams:

1. Specialisation:  Students who opt for the Specialisation stream will have the opportunity to explore aspects of a chosen nursing specialisation.

2. Research focused: Students who opt for the researched focused stream will explore an area of nursing practice with the view to identifying a researchable question and developing a template-based research proposal.

3. Field work experience: Students may be able to opt for field work experience based on availability of opportunities and successful application   process.
