Introduction

This unit introduces students to the role of the orthopaedic nurse in the clinical area and examines the musculo-skeletal system and health assessment across the life span in relation to orthopaedic conditions. A range of degenerative disorders will be explored and students will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with diagnostic tools used in clinical practice.
