Introduction
This unit explores integrated nursing care for patients with conditions affecting the cardiovascular system. Unit content is delivered online and designed to be experiential and practice focused. The unit aims to develop a strong nursing foundation that is required to assess the patient with acute or chronic cardiovascular conditions, plan and prioritise management, applying the theoretical concepts of CNA772.

Learning Outcomes
- Explain the anatomy & physiology underpinning cardiovascular conditions as applied to the context of nursing practice.
- Perform the required skills when caring for the person with an acute or chronic cardiovascular condition, including integrated assessment, therapeutic monitoring, analysis and evaluation of the patient.
- Critically analyse and justify the nursing care provided to cardiovascular patients using an evidence-based framework
