Assessment and Management of Addictive Disorders CNA548

Introduction

In this unit students will develop the evidence-based assessment and planning skills they require in their work with alcohol and other drug dependent clients in a public health framework. This includes clinical assessment of alcohol and drug issues and identification of co-occurring disorders. Students will demonstrate understanding of current legislative requirements. A range of case studies will be used to explore risk assessment and risk management perspectives.
