Introduction

This unit explores physiological theories underpinning complex patient conditions. Students gain knowledge in the pathophysiology of respiratory, cardiac, haemodynamic problems including advanced supportive therapies. The unit prepares the student to apply knowledge in some specialty areas of nursing.
