Introduction
This unit explores the diversity of clinical presentations in emergency nursing practice. Clinical practice is an integral part of the unit, enabling you to consolidate your learning and apply theoretical knowledge. The unit focuses on the development of effective communication skills, accurate assessment and prioritisation skills, and the integration of evidence-informed care and best-practice guidelines.

Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate clinical skill acquisition, including assessment, therapeutic monitoring, analysis and evaluation of the emergency patient.
- Implement an analytical approach to nursing assessment and management in the emergency setting.
- Apply clinical reasoning to provide evidence-informed nursing care in an emergency setting, incorporating national and international best practice guidelines.
- Appraise the requirements for prompt prioritisation and intra/interprofessional collaboration in the emergency setting.
