Introduction
This unit extends clinical assessment and management skills of the student by exploring emergency presentations in the acutely unwell adult and paediatric patient. This unit develops an emergency nurse who is able to critically assess and evaluate the patient's condition using advanced problem solving skills. This unit will also explore disaster management and professional issues including legal and ethical cases in the emergency setting.
