Research Project in Nutrition Sciences CSA314

Introduction

This unit will consist of a brief literature review and research plan, enabling students to undertake a short laboratory focussed project relating to functional food or supplement use in practice. Instruction in research design, data analysis and report writing is given, along with supervision while undertaking practical application of laboratory instrumental analytical techniques to investigate chemical composition or bioactivity of a functional food, supplement or natural product . Students will produce a final written research report.
