Introduction
lThis unit will provide advance training to obtain cell culture skills in the field of pharmaceutical and biomedical science essential to successfully complete the required research project. The purpose of this unit is to introduce the advance laboratory and cell culture skills that researchers are required to utilise on a regular basis. After successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. Perform diagnostic and investigative applications of cell culture techniques,
2. Perform different types of survival cytotoxic assays,
3. Evaluate the effects of pharmaceutical ingredients on different types of cell lines, and
4. Communicate their findings
