Introduction

This unit provides an overview of the origins and principles of health promotion and its rationale. Students will develop an understanding of the strategies, methods and theories, used in health promotion, to meet the needs of diverse population groups in different social contexts. Students will encounter what drives policy decisions, along with planning, evaluation and communication techniques of program design.
