Introduction
The focus of Concepts of Nursing 3 is to prepare you with the essential skills to transition from student to registered nurse. You will critically analyse resources to assist you to apply for graduate positions in differing health care organisations. You will understand the importance of adopting positive, collaborative working relationships. The concepts of self‐ care, work‐life balance and resilience will be examined to enable you to incorporate these within your practice and as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will review patient safety and quality systems including policies and procedures, measurement and quality improvement, risk management, incident management systems, health care records and conflict resolution.
