Duration refers to the minimum and maximum amounts of time in which this course can be completed. It will be affected by whether you choose to study full or part time, noting that some programs are only available part time.

This course provides you with the opportunity to acquire advanced current knowledge in Biological Science. In addition, you will develop a capacity for independent research and problem-solving that can lead to workplace research and/or a degree by higher research (Masters or PhD).

At the completion of the course you will have:

  • acquired advanced current knowledge in Biological Science topics covered in the course;
  • acquired advanced research skills that can lead to workplace research and/or a HDR course;
  • engaged in research and development projects in Biological Science;
  • developed the ability to apply advanced current knowledge, skills and principles learned in the course to your respective workplace contexts;
  • developed an understanding how the field of Biological Science can be applied to solve global problems from a scientific perspective.
