Advance your engineering career with the technical skills to work in maritime sectors. The Graduate Certificate in Maritime Engineering is designed to provide engineering graduates with in-depth exposure to a wide range of subjects relevant to maritime engineering systems.

This program is aimed at engineering professionals already in the workforce, but with limited exposure to the maritime engineering sector.

Our specialist coursework is designed by experienced maritime engineers and researchers. Delivered through interactive online study resources, this course provides a flexible learning mode for students who wish to continue working while studying.

The Graduate Certificate in Maritime Engineering provides engineering graduates with an introduction to a wide range of subjects relevant to the development and procurement of marine vessels and systems.

This course is constructed for those that want to raise their knowledge in advanced engineering practice and management, in particular current Engineers who wish to gain knowledge in the Maritime sector. This program can be used for Continuing Professional Development.

    The assessment for RPL is undertaken as per the UTAS policies. Results are recorded. RPL is subject to the approval of the Course Coordinator.

    Options for this course

    This is a full-fee course, which means you’ll need to pay the full amount for your studies. Commonwealth Supported Places are not available in this course. However, there are still support options available for eligible students to help you manage the cost of studying this course.

    You may be able to fund all or part of your tuition fees by accessing a FEE-HELP loan from the Australian Government. FEE-HELP is a loan scheme that assists domestic full-fee students to pay for University, which is repaid through the Australian Tax System once you earn above a repayment threshold. This means you’ll only have to start repaying the loan once you start earning above a specific amount

    International students

    2024 Total Course Fee (international students): $17,475 AUD*.

    Course cost based on a rate of $34,950 AUD per standard, full-time year of study (100 credit points).

    * Please note that this is an indicative fee only.

    International students

    International students are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the annual rate. International students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.
