Location

Bachelor of Agricultural Science (73M) students who have completed their third-year of study with sufficient merit will be invited by the head of discipline to undertake Honours (embedded) as part of their fourth year of study.  Students will transfer to S4A in their final year of study.

By undertaking Honours student will gain knowledge, skills, competencies and awareness in preparation for employment in agricultural research organisations and businesses as well as for higher degree research.

The BAgrSc(Hons) program aims to provide:

  • Advanced knowledge and scientific training in a specialised area of agricultural science;
  • Training in research as preparation for employment in a research organisation or for postgraduate study in Master or PhD programs.

Career outcomes

Students are well prepared for employment in research and other positions with industry, government and business organisations. An Honours degree also enables graduates to apply to undertake a Masters or PhD degree.
