The course provides an entry point to an Honours degree for students who have completed science-based degrees other than the BAgrSc, and particularly students who have completed the Bachelor of Agriculture degree.

Enrolment Codes
For Full Time Students:
Please enrol in Honours A (25%) and B (25%) in one semester and Honours C (25%) and D (25%) in the following semester.
For Part Time Students:
Please enrol in Honours A (25%) in one semester, followed by Honours B (25%) in the following semester and so on.
* Students enrol sequentially i.e. Unit A, then Unit B irrespective of the semester in which they start.

Entry requirements
Admission Prerequisites
Entrants to the degree of Bachelor of Agriculture with Honours will have qualified for admission to the BAgr or an appropriate Bachelor degree in Science or equivalent at an approved tertiary institution. Candidates would normally be expected to obtain at least a credit average in their final year undergraduate units.
Candidature will be subject to appropriate supervision being available for the thesis topic approved by the School and subject to satisfying the prerequisites required for the chosen field of study.
Articulation to
The degree would be the normal articulation pathway for local students who have completed a BAgr degree at the University of Tasmania. The degree is also intended to facilitate articulation from science-based Bachelor degrees attained at other universities in Australasia.
The course can lead to Master's or PhD candidature.

Fees & scholarships
Domestic students
Domestic students enrolled in a full fee paying place are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the fees you pay for each unit you enrol in. Full fee paying domestic students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.

International students
2020 Total Course Fee (international students): $35,950 AUD*.
Course cost based on a rate of $35,950 AUD per standard, full-time year of study (100 credit points).
