Introduction
In this unit students develop knowledge and skills for solving problems in mechanical engineering specifically in the field of dynamics and vibration, this building on the theory of Newtonian Mechanics applied to the analysis of rigid body kinematics and kinetics. This is undertaken by applying theory to solve advanced dynamics problems involving rigid body motion and vibration through technical analysis as well as practical implementation based on undertaking laboratory experiments specific to the field of mechanical engineering.
