Work Term 4 JEE142

Launceston

Introduction

All 5 work terms have a minimum requirement of 12 weeks engineering professional practice. Those work terms that back on to each other can be completed continuously with the same company. In fact, all work terms could be completed with the same company although it is advisable that you obtain experience from different employers as this will make you a better graduate with broad experience. Throughout all work terms you will be required to monitor your progress with a logbook on the understanding of stage 1 engineering competencies as set out by Engineers Australia.

Throughout JEE142 Work Term 4 and JEE146 Co-Op Portfolio you, with assistance from your employer and supervisor/s, make sure that you are highly competent with all aspects of engineering including all 16 State 1 competencies listed below and in the log book. You are also expected to show greater independence and responsibility than in all previous work terms with the aim of being borderline self-sufficient.
