Introduction
This unit introduces the ocean environment and the role of maritime engineers in the design of maritime infrastructure. The unit covers essential elementary knowledge of marine sciences, types of marine crafts and maritime structures, marine systems, and ocean renewable energy technology. This unit will provide future maritime engineers with the core understanding required for the application of technical knowledge throughout their further studies.
