Learning Outcomes

ILO 1 Demonstrate an understanding of practical issues with respect to selection and design of a vessel’s key features, structure and integral systems.

ILO 2 Design a hullform and efficient structure compliant with practical operational and performance requirements and appropriate codes and regulations.

ILO 3 Produce an abbreviated suite of supporting design documentation exhibiting a rational engineering approach to a preliminary design.

ILO 4 Develop an appropriate project management regime and associated tools to facilitate efficient design practice.
