GIS: Introduction JFA545
Introduction
The purpose of this unit is to gain a basic, practical understanding of GIS and remote sensing concepts, techniques and their real world applications. Techniques for data collection, integration, manipulation and spatial analysis are introduced. Practical sessions using PC-based GIS will emphasize applications of GIS in marine resource management.
