Introduction

This unit provides an introduction to the technical and operational aspects of ship management. This unit examines the operations that are necessary to transport cargo in a safe, efficient, and commercially viable manner. The unit explores ships' nautical, commercial and cargo operations in detail.  It examines the operational management of ships under the frameworks of commercial management, technical management and crew management.
