Introduction

This unit examines the technical and operational aspects of managing ships. The unit explores the ship-related operations that are necessary to transport cargo in a safe, efficient, and commercially viable manner. The unit analyses ships’ nautical, commercial, and cargo operations in detail. It studies the operational management of ships under the frameworks of commercial management, technical management and crew management.
