Introduction

On completion of this unit, students will have the skills, knowledge and attributes to undertake shipboard operations relevant to a trainee deck officer as required by the STCW Convention under the supervision of a Deck or Engineer Officer or Chief Integrated Rating. This unit is delivered via classroom theory, tutorials, web-based learning and practical work in a simulated shipboard environment.
