Launceston

Introduction

This unit will provide students with the theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of Marine Electronic Navigation equipment to enable the equipment to be used to the best advantage with full understanding of the capabilities and limitations.

This unit builds on the knowledge gained in year 1 and meets the learning outcomes set out in Table A -II/1 of STCW 2010 and detailed in the Maritime Training Package MAR50315.
