- Articulate the main elements of a generic safety assessment in the maritime space.
- Describe the structure and functions of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) in the context of maritime safety.
- Evaluate the purpose and function of the major IMO legal instruments in terms of the regulating of maritime safety.
- Analyse the role of the IMO and its members in the adaptation of its major legal instruments.
- Evaluate the role of Australian and other maritime administrations in regulating maritime safety and implementing relevant international instruments.
