- Comply with emergency procedures onboard a ship during an emergency at sea and in port.
- Identify ways to prevent pollution of the marine environment while working at sea and in port.
- Apply safe working practices onboard the ship while working at sea and in port.
- Communicate on board a ship during work time and emergencies.
- Assess the value of maintaining good relationships onboard a ship.
- Determine when interventions are required on board a ship if there are signs of fatigue.
