Introduction

This unit provides training at an advanced level to ships officers on board oil tankers who have immediate responsibility for the loading, discharging and care in transit or handling of cargo.

This unit meets the learning outcomes of A-V/1-1 paragraph 2 and table A-V/1-1-2, of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, STCW 2010 (Manila Amendments).
