This unit is a 4 day short course and may be delivered multiple times in each study period. In order to complete 12.5% load it should be combined with enrolment or credit in the following units: JVD210 Advanced Fire Fighting 3.85% and JVD212 Proficiency in Survival Craft 4.80%
To provide the student with the skills and knowledge required to react appropriately in an emergency situation, where a casualty has been injured at sea, or is acutely ill, and to use those items of first aid equipment found in ship's medical outfit which are not included in the standard first aid kit.
