Design Practices units provide a foundation for you to develop your confidence as practitioners both now and into the future. They provide both a business-based perspective and look to the future direction of the profession and your role in it.
In Design Practices 2: Futures, you will identify, refine and target future opportunities in design practice aligned with your own interests. You will research and investigate different emerging fields of practice in design and discuss the complexities embedded in moral and ethical obligations, both as an individual practitioner and in relation to the profession. You will develop a personal design philosophy that identifies and justifies your position and aspirations in relation to your design field and future-focused practice.
Based on your identified position, you will be supported through workshops to develop a targeted professional portfolio and CV or design research statement that prepares you for future practice, or for further study.
