Geography and Environment Research Project KGA300

Hobart, Launceston

Enrolment depends on availability of a suitable project, supervisor and resources. Students are advised to consult with the unit coordinator before enrolling.

This unit is classed as a restricted unit which means that unit co-ordinator approval must be obtained.

This unit comprises a one-semester geographical or environmental research project. It provides students with research experience in a study topic or area of their own choosing. Project design, data collection, data management and research presentation skills will be developed. The unit will involve an average of 10 hours per week, planning and completing an individual research project, closely supervised by a staff member of the Discipline of Geography and Spatial Sciences. Students can undertake this unit in either semester, but it must be completed within that semester. The unit provides an insight to advanced students of the expectations and benefits of Honours research, and can lead to a published journal article.
