Introduction

This unit provides an introduction to legal, administrative, social and scientific aspects of environmental impact assessment, environmental auditing, environmental management systems and related environmental management tools. The unit emphasises the practical aspects of environmental management for Tasmanian, Australian and international contexts. The unit is intended for students who are interested in or plan to work in environmental management or a related field.

Teaching Pattern

1 X 50 minute lecture weekly and 1 x 50 minute workshop weekly.  A fieldtrip will be scheduled in Week 5.
