Introduction
This unit deals with management issues encountered as a result of deploying security countermeasures, policy and initiatives in organisational settings. This unit provides the capstone experience for the CyberSecurity major. Students will complete a network/security project that will address a nominated problem/issue by applying the tools and techniques. The project will involve the planning, analysis, design, testing and implementation of the selected solution within agreed time frames. Students will further develop their understanding of the nature of security threats to IT systems.
Students will employ some of the tools and techniques that they have learnt about throughout the major to evaluate the security of, and defend against threats to, computer systems and networks through physical and electronic means.
