Introduction
Today technological problems often require more than just technological solutions as itrequires understanding human needs of the technology. The unit will introduce the concept of
design thinking as an innovative problem-solving process that is essential to the design of the
interactive media and technologies. The unit will cover different design methods such asiterative design, participatory design, conceptual & parallel thinking and storytelling &
storyboarding. In addition, the unit will explore emerging research issues such as in social
cultural design. Moreover, the students will conduct a project by applying the design thinkingprocesses.
