Academic Skills for Agri-food Research KLA483
Master of Applied Science students (K7J1, 5 and 6) should discuss their enrolment in this unit with the course coordinator. Enrolment in the distance mode is not available to on-shore international Master of Applied Science students (K7J1, 5 and 6) students.
This unit is an assignment-based unit in which you will explore a particular aspect of agriculture, food science or microbiology in detail through the production of a review of the scientific literature in that area. The topic is chosen through consultation with the unit coordinator to complement your area of specialisation.
In this unit you will develop skills that allow you to access, evaluate and use information including the use of scientific databases and specialised software such as Endnote. You will learn how to use available tools to improve your own writing through a process of drafting and using feedback. You will critically evaluate both your own, and published writing.
