Introduction

This unit is the culmination of all learnings from this course. By collating previous course work and assignments, you will prepare and deliver a business plan relevant to either growing your business or consolidating it after a period of growth. Your plan may cover all aspects of the business, or a major initiative. The topic choice is yours, but you will apply principles based on the theories and tools you have learnt throughout the course to a specific agribusiness in which you operate.

You will also explore your personal development by reflecting on your leadership style and attributes summarising these within a skills audit. This skills audit will be incorporated into a personal growth plan that will allow you and your staff to grow with your business. The skills audit and plan will be incorporated into your business plan.

Your final course assessment will be an oral presentation of your business plan or major initiative, or a component of these.

This unit will:
1. Consolidate your learnings and understanding of business management and strategic planning.
2. Introduce you to:
a.  the difference between leadership and management;
b. different leadership styles and their attributes;
c. business etiquette;
d. and pitch decks.

In conjunction with the discipline theory, this unit fosters learning through practice and its application to specific business settings.  The content of this unit and other units undertaken in this course will support the development of a personal and business portfolio.
