Introduction

blank_page

The Mathematics Honours programme prepares students for a career in mathematics. Students do a combination of Advanced level coursework units as well as a project which extends their knowledge to the frontiers of research. Coursework units are offered in statistics and pure and applied mathematics. The project is conducted under the direction of a supervisor and culminates with the submission of a thesis. The thesis is expected to contain a critical review of the subject area and a detailed description and analysis of the student's own research.

Mathematics Honours enrolment consists of four units: KMA415, KMA416, KMA417 and KMA418.
