Introduction
The unit gives a sound foundation to the theory and application of modern instrumental techniques, explaining how these are applied to chemical analysis, especially with regards to environmental samples, including sample preparation. Topics are selected from: gas and liquid chromatography, X-ray spectroscopy, atomic spectroscopy, electrochemistry, sensors, and flow injection analysis.
