Fishing Technology KSM601

Introduction

The unit will introduce to the student to the factors that influence the design of a range of commercial fishing gears and methods as well as the fishing vessels that are required for their effective operation to produce high-quality seafood. Special emphasis is placed on identifying options to reduce any negative impacts of fishing on the marine environment and to promote responsible fishing practices within the fishing industry.
