Practicum KSM713

Introduction

The Practicum unit comprises two parts. Work placement and non-placement Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is an essential first part of our strategy to develop discipline specific and generic skills. It complements the information gained in the course, allows students to experience commercial, government, non-government and research environments/issues, to learn additional skills and put into practice practical and theoretical knowledge learnt in the course. The second section of the unit provides students an understanding of the job market and clear guidance to develop generic and specific skills, which will enhance their personal competitiveness and employment opportunities.
