Introduction

This unit introduces the concepts of information systems in a business environment. It examines what is meant by an information system, and how and why information systems are being used in business. The issues involved in developing, managing and controlling business information systems are also explored. The tutorials are designed to develop proficiency in business software applications such as Microsoft's Office suite to provide a set of job-ready skills.

Teaching Pattern

Teaching is grouped into 13 weekly modules containing a range of self-directed and in-class activities.

Online and/or face to face lectures will occur in weeks 1-13.
