Specialised Research Methods XGR505
For HDR Candidates
Introduction
This unit enables HDR candidates to study a topic or subject of particular academic interest and relevance to their project which is not otherwise available as a formal unit. It provides candidates with the opportunity to engage in self-directed study with guidance from a supervising lecturer, who is not part of the candidate's supervisory team. A formal learning agreement between the candidate and the supervising lecturer specifies the material to be studied, the means by which it will be assessed, and the due date for completion of the assessment task/s. Enrolment in the unit, and the learning agreement, requires approval from the student's supervisor and the Course Coordinator for the Graduate Certificate in Research. For further information and to download the Specialised Research Methods Learning Agreement go to: https://universitytasmania.sharepoint.com/sites/research-division/SitePages/Graduate-Research-Coursework.aspx Please note you will not incur a tuition fee for this unit.
