To be accepted into any level of the postgraduate nursing program applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Hold a current registration as a nurse in Australia.
  2. Have at least 6 months full time relevant nursing experience (in the specialist area that you have chosen to study) within the last 5 years (or equivalent).
  3. Hold an undergraduate degree in nursing with a grade point average of at least a credit (or equivalent).

Or have qualifications and experience deemed by the University to be equivalent to points 2 and 3 above.

Our Bachelor of Paramedic Practice (Conversion) is a fully online program and is designed to help currently practicing paramedics and advanced medics in the Australian Defence Force upgrade their existing qualifications from a diploma or associate degree to a fully accredited bachelor's program.

This course is made up of a number of paramedic-specific units and additional health care units.

You will learn from experienced paramedics and expand on your existing knowledge in areas such as health, clinical assessment, clinical skills, pharmacology clinical research, and professionalism.

The Master of Professional Psychology is the fifth year of a 5+1 internship program.

The Master of Psychology (Clinical) prepares you for challenging and rewarding work as a professional psychologist.

You'll develop advanced professional skills, in tandem with theoretical and empirical knowledge, in line with the scientist-practitioner model.

Upon graduation, you'll meet the academic requirements for general registration as a psychologist, membership of the Australian Psychological Society, and, following two years of supervised professional experience, can apply for Clinical Psychology endorsement through AHPRA and membership of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists.

Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science with Clinical Honours in Exercise Physiology

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are allied health professionals who are trained in the physical and psychological components of health and exercise prescription, and who have specialised knowledge in chronic and complex care.

This course provide graduates with the knowledge and skills to gain accreditation as Exercise Physiologists with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) and is accredited by ESSA at Exercise Physiology level.

The course is designed to be one additional year of study for graduates of the University of Tasmania Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, or an equivalent bachelor degree.
