The University Preparation Program (UPP) is a free, open-entry program which does not require prior qualifications. The course is designed to explore a range of strategies and skills to support each student on their learning journey. Successful completion of UPP enables students to meet the general admission requirements for most undergraduate degree courses offered by the University of Tasmania.

The University Preparation Program provides an opportunity for everyone to study at university. Delivered on campus or fully online, the program is flexible and is available for full-time and part-time students. Our units are designed to prepare students for whatever pathway they choose, whether that be a bachelor or associate degree, diploma, certificate, or a job.

Our units encompass the fields of writing, research, communication, mathematics, science, and learning theory.
