During June and July this year, 10 undergraduate SOCA students undertook a 3–week international study trip covering 4 cities to experience a once-in-ten-year alignment of Documenta 14 and the Münster Skulptur Projekte, as part of the new degree unit Current Practice - Outgoing. The program included visiting the Documenta exhibition in both Kassel (Germany) and Athens (Greece), and the Skulptur Projekte in Münster (Germany). The study trip culminated with a week in Lisbon (Portugal), where the students participated in the Maumaus Independent Study Program, to critically reflect on the curatorial premise of the two-city unfolding of Documenta 14, through an intensive seminar at the Goethe Institute, Lisbon with Maumaus director Jürgen Bock and Noit Banai, professor of Contemporary Art at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna.

In this special Art Forum presentation, the participating students will share their experiences.
