Hidden Treasures of Launceston will showcase selected artwork from several prestigious – but hidden – private art collections based in Launceston and the surrounding region. Many of the artworks on display have never before been seen by the general public. The works have been collected over decades, hidden away, enjoyed and admired by family and friends of the collectors. This exhibition will surprise viewers at what has been hidden behind the entrance doors of Launceston houses. Hidden Treasures will delight, astound and engage all by the high quality of artwork. A rare opportunity to view works that after this exhibition may forever be hidden again…

Hidden Treasures of Launceston is presented as part of the Academy Gallery ‘mini blockbuster series’. The MB Series aims to promote and educate the contemporary arts as accessible cultural enjoyment.
