This exhibition is the culmination of an eight-week residency undertaken by Dr Noelene Lucas at the Academy of the Arts, University of Tasmania. During this time she has conducted research, in Archives and Libraries in Hobart and Launceston, into the connection of colonial and personal history: the juncture of historical amnesia and her family's loss of historical memory. Through looking the affects of the past (both good and evil) in the present, Noelene's work seeks to create an ethics of responsibility.

The exhibition 'Test Site' is a quick response, an attempt to draw some interim conclusions in this ongoing project.
