Junction Arts Festival

Make Junction Yours

Junction returns in September with a playful program presenting art, performance, music and dance in unexpected places. Put yourself at the heart of the action. Dance with an interactive avatar, explore your city through new eyes, view a photography exhibition in a horse float, catch yourself on the big screen, stretch and reflect in a guided yoga with live harp performance. With a lineup of workshops exploring opportunities for Art Funding, and creative development, Junction is more accessible than ever - providing excellent opportunities for you to Make it Yours. Join General Manager Steve Henty in unpacking the program - and discovering how to get involved at this year's Junction.

Junction is a festival in which contemporary art and music have broken out of the theatres, galleries and music venues and out into the streets, public spaces and extraordinary buildings that make Launceston so special. With its stunning mix of Georgian, Victorian and Art Deco architecture, beautiful 19th century English parks and Cataract Gorge at its doorstep, Launceston is the perfect setting to discover and participate in exciting art and music experiences that you’ll never forget.

Now in its 6th year, previous festival experiences have included riding on the back of motorbikes, experiencing a performance inside a carwash, listening to live music in the back yards of amazing houses, travelling back in time to a secret late night speakeasy and even having a sauna in a public park.
