Head shot of Sarah Jones

Soprano Sarah Jones has gone a long way since her graduation for UTAS, and now enjoys a thriving international career based in Germany working with the Staatsoper Stuttgart.
It’s been many years since Sarah sang in her home town, so on this trip to visit family and friends she’s decided to join forces with the extraordinary talents of pianist Karen Smithies to present ‘Fantastic Beasts’ a program of music inspired by the love of creatures great and small.

"Sarah Jones impressed with a very wide range of songs from American composers such as Samuel Barber, Aaron Copland and Stephen Sondheim, whose often quirky lyrics she interpreted with clear, concise singing in an engagingly humorous style”

Die Vögel - Schubert
Marienwürmchen - Schumann
Die Krähe - Schubert
